Police have received a report of youths throwing tiles off a building in central Canterbury.

At 3.20pm on Friday, April 12 they were called to a Debenhams building in Guildhall Street after tiles were thrown into the beer garden of the Seven Stars pub in neighbouring Orange Street.

Police went to the area and found the youths in the Orange Street car park.

Force spokesman Sally Smith said: “Officers attended, spoke to two teenage boys and took their details. The matter remains under investigation.”

It is believed that youths may have been responsible for incidents of tile-throwing into Guildhall Street on a previous occasion.
