The Government has launched a restaurant finder where you can search for businesses participating in the ‘eat out to help out’ voucher scheme.
We found 71 restaurants participating within five miles of Canterbury Cathedral and 48 in the same distance around Whitstable Lifeboat station.
The voucher scheme will entitle diners to 50% off meals, up to a value of £10 per person, on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays. It starts on 3 August and will run for the entire month, with thousands of smaller restaurants as well as national chains like Nandos and Pret-A-Manger taking part.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak said: “‘To get customers back into restaurants, cafes and pubs and protect the 1.8 million people who work in them … we will give everyone in the country an ‘eat out to help out’ discount.”
The discount should be automatically deducted from your bill, as long as you are in a participating restaurant at the correct time.
