Voting underway for governors of east Kent hospitals

The Kent and Canterbury Hospital

The election to find three members of the public to sit as governors of the east Kent hospitals trust has started.

Eight candidates are standing for a position on the council of governors of the beleaguered trust, which operates from the Kent and Canterbury Hospital (pictured above).

They are Mike Brockington, Dave Cocozza, Mark Fernando, Philip Jones, Hugh Joslin, Graeme Sergeant, Chris Warricker.

The election takes place against a backdrop of change in the trust. It is currently consulting on stroke services and the future of the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, which has seen services moved to the trust’s other sites at Ashford and Margate.
