UPDATED: Man wounded after being shot in Thanington


Police are investigating the shooting of a man on the housing estate in Thanington.

The victim in his 20s is believed to have been struck in Godwin Road and was found at around 10.40pm in Oxford Road, Wincheap.

It is being reported that two men in balaclavas pulled up in a silver Audi with blacked out windows and shot the man in the stomach before speeding away.

He was taken to hospital with a bullet wound.

Police have not yet made any arrests.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to determine the weapon involved.”
