Police called to railway crossing after man seen near train line

The foot crossing at Broad Oak Road, Canterbury

British Transport Police officers were called to a railway foot crossing in Canterbury after reports of a man near the line.

They were joined by Kent officers at the crossing which links Broad Oak Road with Kemsing Gardens on the Hales Place Estate yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

The BTP said: “We attended after a report from a driver of a concern for a male loitering in the area.

“After an area search there was no trace.”
