UPDATED: Cyclist injured after collision with car

Emergency services were called to the scene

A cyclist has been seriously hurt after a collision with a car in Canterbury.

The accident happened at just before 11am on Saturday at the junction with St Stephen’s Road and Market Way close to the pedestrian crossing.

Paramedics and police were both called to the scene and the air ambulance was seen landing in the area later.

The female cyclist was airlifted to a London hospital to be treated for injuries not believed to be life threatening.

No arrests were made.
