
Police have charged a man following the assault of a woman in her 70s in Whitstable.
The victim suffered injuries to her face and body during the incident in Dargate Road at just before 8pm on Tuesday.
She was taken to a London hospital for treatment.

Police arrested Perry Redmond, of Wheatsheaf Close in Faversham. The 49-year-old was charged with wounding with intent.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court this morning and has been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday, June 21.
