Man beaten on driveway outside his home


A man was seriously injured after beaten in the driveway of his Herne Bay home.

Police say the incident took place outside a house in Grange Road between 11.10pm and 11.21pm on Friday, August 17.

The victim, a man in his 40s from Herne Bay, was taken to a London hospital following the assault. His condition is said to be stable.

He had driven onto the driveway when he was assaulted by three men thought to have been travelling behind him in two small, hatchback cars.

The men are white and in their late 20s. One was 6ft 2ins tall and thickset and was wearing dark clothes with a hood up. Another is 5ft 9ins tall, had brown hair and wearing a light-coloured top.

Det Insp Sheena Barrell said: “We believe that this was an isolated incident with no connection to the location and enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.”
