
Canterbury Magistrates’ Court has been evacuated after the discovery of a suspicious package.
The police, fire and ambulances services are all on scene at the two-storey Broad Street building.
It was not found to contain anything harmful, but an investigation is underway as to its origin.

Staff made the discovery at 8.55am.
A police spokesman said: “Officers are at the scene along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
“The package was found not to be harmful however enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
